For months, Kyya has been working on our holiday chocolate bar lineup. We sold out of the initial production run this weekend and will be replenishing those bars along with the second wave of bars for this weekend at the shop and Bentonville Farmer's Market.
But we have a problem, one of our bars just doesn't feel right in regular package --- our Peppermint Bark Bar.
What is Bark you might ask, for Kyya, it's a 2 layer bar, one layer of dark chocolate, with a layer of white chocolate with crushed peppermint canes laid in the back of the white chocolate. We have been making this bar for years, but we simply can't just drop this work of art into a regular Kyya package.
So we were thinking, we know lots of very talented people across the world with a great eye for design. Here's your chance to showcase your talents.
At the following link, http://www.kyyachocolate.com/pages/design_contest is the die line for our new sized Peppermint Bark dessert bar. The new package holds a bar that will be 3" x 3" x 0.3" thick ( your package is 3-1/4 inches x 3-1/4 inches x 0.3 inches thick). We are looking for a unique, cool, perhaps quirky, perhaps inspirational family friendly package for this bar.
The design must accommodate space for the contact information and nutritional details (refer to existing bar for that information). Let's be clear, it should not look like the existing Kyya box. You can change the physical box as well, but the box must completely protect the chocolate bar and it's inner wrapper.
Kyya will chose one winner from the Instragram submissions. the winner will also need to submit their design via high resolution graphics (preferred Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or PDF) format. The winner will be judged on 1) creativity 2) inspiration 3) catching the Kyya mission/vision in their design 3) practical to make and use. Once you finish the design, post to the Kyya Instagram Account.
The winner wins a 25 pack of chocolate ($150 value) in the winning box, credit on the box as the designer, a private tour of the shop for you and 5 of your friends (transportation to the shop is your responsibility) and last but not least, big kudos from Kyya as the 2015 holiday contest winner and the admiration of all your friends. What - Using the die line provided in the link, or create a new die line, create a cool design for the Kyya Holiday Bark Bar. Submit your design to our Kyya Instragram account (you can enter as many times as you like). You will also need to send a digital copy of your design to info@kyyachocolate.com with the subject "holiday contest" and your contact information if chosen as the winner.
Where - anywhere - feel free to pass along to your brother, sister, cousin, aunt, friend at Cal Poly, missionary in Albania, etc.
When - Post to the @kyyachocolate Instagram account by midnight, October 4, 2015. We will review the submissions and announce the winner the following week.
